I just filed my taxes and assuming I have any money left over, I'm going to fly out to California and visit Erin for a while. God knows I could use a break from Nebraska. I'm thinking I'll go in April. I'm hoping that job stuff will be a little more settled by then.

I've been learning how to load plan with Clayton at work. He says it's not complicated, but it kind of looks complicated, so we'll see. I'm not eligible for hire until March at the earliest, so I'll try to learn what I can until then. I'm hoping that if I spend enough time kind of learning the system and the vocabulary, I'll feel more comfortable applying for the job. I also get the impression I'd be considered for the job, even though I don't have any real experience or a degree.

In other random news, I broke my glasses. I was over at my mom's place and falling asleep on the couch, when my mother came over to give me an extra blanket and accidentally broke my glasses. Le sigh. I've needed to replace them for forever anyway, so I guess it's cosmic.

I called cable-boy on Valentine's day, left him a voice mail saying that I'd be over at the bar with a couple friends if he wanted to swing by. No boy. No return message. Boys suck. I remember why I gave them up this year.

This Thursday I might be returning to Mick's. It's a ladies-night type of deal, so maybe I'll go, but I don't have anything new. Since Melissa and I don't talk or hang out anymore, I haven't been writing. I asked her if she and Troy were like a two for one deal, and she said she kind of thought that was up to me. I gave her my new number, but she hasn't called. I know she has a ton of really big stuff going on right now, but I can't help be wonder if that's the ONLY reason we haven't spoken.
